Student-Wives Fall Evening Education Series Continues - 11/13/07

On Tuesday evening, November 13, Dr. Mary Ford, PhD., Associate Professor of New Testament and Hermeneutics, led the third in a series of Wives’ Evening Education classes designed specifically for student-wives and taught by Seminary faculty.  The lecture entitled, “Introduction to Orthodox Spiritual Life: The Nous/Passions/Thoughts (Logismoi)" related the Holy Fathers' teachings about the spiritual warfare that is constantly waged in our hearts and minds.  The student-wives gained valuable insight on harnessing the passions and resisting temptation.  The next lecture in this topic set, to be given on November 27, is entitled, " Understanding Self-Condemnation, Self-Esteem, and Godly and Ungodly Sorrow".
