St. Tikhon's Monastery Brotherhood and Seminary community came together to celebrate the Feast of St. Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow.  St. Tikhon was the one who founded the monastery.  Upon returning for the consecration of the Monastery Church in May, 1906, St. Tikhon stated:  "I would like our monastery to become, according to the words of the Savior, like a leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened (Matt. 13:33)." Every year the founding of the monastery is commemorated by the celebration of "Founder's Day", on the Sunday nearest the Feast of St. Tikhon.  This year the Feast itself was on Sunday making for an even greater celebration!  Additionally, Jonathan Lincoln and Megan Haak were married later the same afternoon, making seminary history as the first two St. Tikhon's students to be married.

May Christ our God continue to bless the monastery community to be the leaven that St. Tikhon prayed for, and the ongoing formation work of the seminary.
