After many requests, it is a joy to finally post photos of Basil Kuriakose, (Class of 2015) who was ordained to the diaconate in the fall, upon returning to Mumbai.  As was shared in November, Fr. Steven, seminary dean, had the opportunity to see Dn. Basil at Kottayam Seminary, where he is completing his training.  Metropolitan, H. G Geevarghese Mar Coorilos is also Rony John's bishop, who we anticipate visiting St. Tikhon's in March.

On August 22nd, 2015, Seminarian Basil Kuriakose was ordained Deacon by H. G. Geevarghese Mar Coorilos, Metropolitan, Diocese of Bombay (Malankara Orthodox Church), at his home parish St. George Orthodox Syrian Church, Borivli, Mumbai (India).

Dcn. Basil graduated from St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary in May 2015 and is currently undergoing Liturgical Training at Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam, since October 2015.

Dcn. Basil is married to Ritty Basil and is blessed with a son ‘Elijah.’
