How to Apply to the Diaconal Formation Program

The Seminary welcomes applicants who have received their hierarch's blessing to apply. Application materials are available at this link or by clicking the "Apply Now!" button below. In order to be considered as a candidate for admission to the Diaconal Formation Program, the applicant must submit to the admissions committee a completed and signed application for admission, together with the following documents and information:

• A recent photograph in JPG format.
• A copy of the record of baptism and/or chrismation.
• A letter of recommendation from your bishop, sent directly applicants@stots.edu or uploaded into the application portal.
• A letter of recommendation from each of your parish priests from the past five years.
• Two additional references from individuals who can knowledgeably discuss your personal background, academic, and/or vocational qualifications from persons other than relatives.
• A non-refundable $75 application fee.
• Application Deadline: August 1, 2026.
